How to Dress for Cold Weather: 5 Tricks to Stay Warm in Style… I shouldn’t say anything but I’ll tell you my secrets!
1. LEGGINGS / SHORTS / UNDERSKIRT
When you’re wearing a wide full skirt or a pair of culotte pants put on a pair of leggings under it. If you wear a pencil skirt try with tight cycling shorts. An underskirt will be the best option under a mini skirt. Add all the layers you need to stay warm and cozy as long as they’re invisible. Try it on before going out: walk around and sit down, make sure that it’s well hidden under the skirt! :)
2. LAYER OVER LAYERS
If you want to wear an outfit and it looks too light but you don’t want too ruin it by adding too many layers over… Easy! Put some layer under! For example: vests, tight long sleeves t-shirt, a warm shirt. You’ll be super warm and fashionable at the same time!
Just put a thermal shirt under you outfit! Many fashionistas like me use this trick to look chic even when out is freezing cold, without exaggerating with layers! You can buy one in all the stores that sell clothing, just put it under your attire and you’ll be super warm! I must admit that it’s not sexy like a fine lingerie but… desperate times call for desperate measures! :)))
4. THICK CARDIGAN
Add a warm cachemere or knitted cardigan under the coat in case you want to leave it open. No problem if the coat is closed: just make sure you don’t look to bundled up! Watch out and choose the right cardigan to put under the coat!
5. CACHEMERE OR WOOL TIGHTS
And if you want some more warmth under your trousers or skirt just put on a pair of soft wool or cachemere tights, you can buy one for few euros. Plus, add an extra pair of wool socks over it: warm feet make the difference…
