Weekend bag: we’re jetting off … with a mini suitcase!
Weekend bag. We’re off!!! June is fast approaching, weekends outdoors are being more and more frequent (especially with this heat!). Where are you off to? To an artistic Italian city? A lovely seaside resort? Or are you going to head off to the world of shopping, glamour, and little city visits?
Weekend bag: 6 outfit ideas for an Italian weekend!
Today, together with Falconeri, I’ve decided to create 6 different outfit ideas for 3 different kinds of holiday: in an arty city, at the seaside and at smart holiday resorts! Are you ready for loads of look ideas to spice up your suitcase? Here they are!!
WHAT TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND IN AN ARTY CITY: FLORENCE
If your weekend destination is a beautiful Italian city full of art, like my Florence, the key word is comfort! Comfy shoes, fresh dresses and versatile separates… but adaptable for the city! Here are two looks. One thing you definitely need is a white shirt: it’s light, fresh and comes in handy in lots of different situations.
LOOK WITH A WHITE SHIRT AND A COLOURFUL JACKET
The first idea is that of pairing a white shirt with white sneakers. A comfy look that still keeps you looking chic. I’ve added a colourful jacket: a touch of colour never hurts! I wore a denim skirt… but also a pair of denim shorts would work well!
LOOK WITH A WHITE SHIRT AND SHORTS
Same white shirt, same white sneakers, but this time in a monochrome look. A touch of colour is missing: but it’s there in the sunglasses!

WHAT TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND AT THE SEASIDE: CAPRI – 2 OUTFIT IDEAS!
Capri is the perfect example of a great location for a weekend at the seaside. But what should you wear at the weekend in June? Of course we can’t wear what we would wear in August… and most importantly places like Capri are always very chic and on trend. So here are two look ideas!
LOOK WITH A JACKET AND WHITE SHORTS AND SANDALS
My idea is to pair a silk shirt (go for a neutral colour, but something a bit different from white) and a pair of shorts and sandals that make the look instantly beach-ready. For an extra touch of glamour, go for a summery jacket – light, elegant, perfect!
LOOK WITH A GYPSY SKIRT
For a weekend at the seaside in June, I’d recommend a fresh, gypsy-style maxi skirt. Wear it with a pair of folk sandals and a buckled belt.
WHAT TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE BEACH: CINQUE TERRE – TWO LOOKS!
The Cinque Terre are the perfect example of a weekend away that’s not just about relaxing on a beach, but also about visiting a beautiful town. The key thing is to make sure you’re comfortable, of course, but also glamorous, because this is a very chic place (make sure you go shopping in the little local shops!). Then drinks on the beach and an evening in the town requires one all-encompassing outfit. But you can’t bring your whole wardrobe, of course! So the idea of this kind of weekend is to make the most of your suitcase space and bring versatile garments that can be worn both for day or for evening, and on the beach or in town.
LOOK WITH HEELS
A mesh dress is perfect, to be worn alone over your swimsuit at the beach, with bare feet or a pair of little sandals. Add a stripy jacket for evening and create a totally different look… just by adding a jacket and a belt. A pair of comfy heels is the finishing touch!
STRIPED JACKET: FALCONERI (Find it HERE on their website)
LOOK WITH A SMART JACKET AND YELLOW BALLERINA FLATS
A pair of shorts, ballerina pumps and sunglasses. Perfect for the beach! But add a lightweight jacket in neutral colours and you’re ready for a glamorous evening of drinks on the beach or simply a shopping trip amongst the narrow streets of the Cinque Terre… without having to run home and change!
