Animal bracelets: here’s mine!

Animal bracelets. If there’s a shop where I love to spend half an hour getting lost inside, while I’m wandering through the streets of my gorgeous city of Florence, it’s Giovanni Raspini (here’s the link to their website and store locator to find out where is your nearest shop… it’s not just in Florence!). Amongst all the furniture and jewellery, silver is the main material on offer, made into wonderfully unique shapes. The animal collection, that I’m wearing in this look, is one of my favourites. Lions, crocodiles, leopards, parrots and… chameleons!

Animal bracelets: a chameleon on my wrist… and leaves on my fingers! When jewellery is the main focus of your outfit…

Yes, you heard me correctly! I have a chameleon on my wrist: it’s a lovely little animal that’s both bold and original. I love it! I decided to wear it with a ring of leaves, also in silver. The look continues with a pair of high-waisted jeans, elegant accessories and an unexpected t shirt…

Cruise through Northern Europe and around the Baltic with Costa Cruises

Crociera del nord crociera del mar baltico (15)Cruise through Northern Europe and around the Baltic with Costa Cruises

Cruise through Northern Europe and around the Baltic. It’s so true that when you come to the end of a cruise with Costa Cruises, you honestly don’t know how to get back to your normal routine back on land. The amazing experience, entertainment, sense of being part of a big family, the magical sea and its incredible sunsets, the food (varied and delicious) at all hours, the chance to get to know new countries and cities… it’s marvellous, ladies!!

Cruise through Northern Europe and around the Baltic with Costa Cruises: Saint Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallinn

Let’s start at the beginning. It was my very first cruise: so I’d never tried it and I was a bit sceptical of this kind of trip. What if we get bored? What if we don’t have time to explore all the cities that we visit? But now, sitting in front of my laptop back in Florence, let me tell you this: you feel SO weird being back on solid ground after a week of walking around on a moving vessel! The Costa Luminosa, the beautiful Costa Cruises ship that was our home for a week, is incredibly elegant, and designed in the Italian style (you can see all the photos of our suit below!). On board there is a huge spa with a pool, sauna, Turkish baths, and all kinds of spa treatments, plus 4 restaurants and 11 bars, where there is an infinite choice of food and drink. You can go from the buffet to the focacceria, pizzeria, formal restaurant (where there are also themed dinners by the chef Bruno Barbieri or gala dinners) to the Samsara restaurants (asian fusion, our favourite!) and the Club Luminosa (on the top floor of the ship, with an incredible view of the sunset!. Costa is also very entertaining: there’s a disco, a cinema, a theatre on 3 floors, a casino, shops, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with hydromassage, a gym and an outdoor running track. The ship is beautiful and very welcoming (and also organised to make sure everything runs smoothly and you have a stress-free holiday), with friendly and personal staff who are happy to help (like Alex, our cabin manager and Carlos, our waiter), who organise everything so that when you arrive at a new port for excursions (you can choose to go in a group or stay on the ship), and it’s almost a shame to leave them onboard…

Green Parka Jacket and Extra-Long Pleated Skirt

Green Parka Jacket and Extra-Long Pleated Skirt

Green parka jacket. This is one of my favorite outfit, that I’ve ever worn, did you like it on Instagram (You can find me HERE or look for @ireneCCloset). I love it! I like to match army green, such a casual and boyish color with baby pastel shades, delicate and super feminine colors. So today I put on an oversize army green shirt, a green parka jacket (with a cool back) and a powder pink skirt.

Green Parka Jacket and Extra-Long Pleated Skirt

The skirt is suuuuper long! A floor length maxi skirt. Since the outfit looked a bit too wide, I decided to add a waist skinny belt over the green parka jacket, to enhance my body shape and for during the latest fashion shows I saw lots of belts over the coat! Well, what do you think about this look? Comment below I want your opinions! :) Hugs and kisses!

My Dreams As a Child and My Guiding Lights. The project #PANDORADonnexilDomani

My Dreams As a Child and My Guiding Lights

My dreams as a child. Do you rember your hopes and dreams when you were a child? I dreamed to be a vet and to travel around the world. To be more precise I wanted to be friend with all the animals and the girls from all the countries on this planet. It makes me smile when I think about it. The truth is that when you’re a child you imagine a world of infinite possibilities, friendship, altruism and happy people. But what happen when you grow up? The fact is that we come in contact with the world. The real world. With its “Dark Side”. And often our deepest dreams get brutally crashed.

And then we found our guiding lights. The women of our life: our grandmas, mums and teachers. Some positive models that have been and continue to be our guides. They show us that our dreams and hopes can come true one day. For me these people are my mum and my grandma: two great women that tough me and keep teaching me to be determined, to pursue my goals without giving up. They support me and listen to me when problems seem to be insurmountable. They comfort me when all seems lost. They give me good advice and help me get back on my feet.

The power of solidarity between women is amazing. I strongly believe that when women team up, they’re able to create powerful synergies that make them become extraordinary.

Today I’m really glad to share with you the project PANDORA Donne x il Domani (women for the future):  designed to support and recognize the commitment of women that day by day make the difference, working for common good. Positive examples for the women of tomorrow. Women like the 6 and 9 years old girls in this video. Girls like me, when I dreamed of a better world. They are the women of tomorrow, those who have our future in their hands!

The project Pandora Donne x il Domani aims to discover ordinary women able to achieve goals with high social impact, able to make the difference. On www.pandoradonnexildomani.it you can nominate a deserving lady who is member of an Onlus, a charitable organizations, association or a cooperative company operating in important fields like health and research, welfare and valorization of the role of woman, registering her profile and her project. After the nomination phase, 12 will be chosen and the 3 more voted by the web will receive a 15,000 euros prize from PANDORA to support their projects.

I’ve already nominated my super heroines. And you?
